Early June Fishing Report - Oneida Lake + Lake Ontario 2025

New for 2025, we will be offering charters on Oneida Lake for walleye, bass, perch, and pickerel. Oneida Lake has the largest population of walleye out of all the inland lakes in New York and it rarely disappoints!

Oneida Lake Report: Walleye fishing has been fantastic both shallow water fishing with jerkbaits, spinner rigs, and bucktail jigs. The weed growth is just starting in the shallower bays of the lake and the fish are starting to pile up around them. We have been fishing ned rigs and bladebaits in deeper water near the drop offs around the midlake shoals. Trolling with harnesses and crankbaits has also been very good. Limits have been normal and fish have been on the bigger side lately.

Lake Ontario Report: Well, June is here and the Salmon are not. Thankfully, the Brown Trout fishing remains very good. We have been targeting Brown Trout both East and West of port with good catches of size and quantity of Brown Trout all on Michigan Stinger spoons. Once the water warms up, I expect the trout fishing to slow down and the salmon fishing to heat up. The lake is colder than usual right now and the offshore winds haven't helped. Warm weather and some west winds are in the forecast so lets hope the Salmon show up as expected!
